Ars Longa Artists’ Apartments

Visual artists, authors, designers and applied artists aged 55 or over can apply for the Ars Longa apartments.

Art House Turku

The Studio Foundation rents facilities in the Turku Art House to visual artists. The Art House is owned by the City of Turku.

Grassina Artist House

Located near Florence, Casa Finlandese was opened for Finnish visual artists in 1968. The artist house has facilities for four artists at a time.

Herttoniemi Art Foundry

A significant part of Finnish visual artists’ large monuments and museum-level sculptures are cast in Herttoniemi.

Hämeentie 155

The Studio Foundation is a tenant on two floors of the building at Hämeentie 155, owned by the EMO Foundation.

Kalasatama Artist House

This building from the 1930s offers workspace for 24 visual artists, as well as Helsinki Litho, Kalasataman Seripaja and Avoin Taidekoulu.

Kalervo Kallio Atelier House

The atelier house originally designed for the sculptor and his family is located in Munkkiniemi. Today it houses artist studios and two work-live apartments.

Kontula Artist House

Opened in 2015, the Kontula Artist House is located next to a residential building for visual artists owned by the City of Helsinki.

Kuopio Artist Apartments

The four work-live apartments in Jynkkä, Kuopio, were completed for the 1980 Housing Fair.

Oulunkylä Artist Apartments

Designed by Kirmo Mikkola and Esko Lehti, 17 work-live apartments and two separate artist studios were built in Oulunkylä in 1976.

Project Studios

Intended for short-term projects, Project Studio Artsu is located at Hämeentie 155. You can apply to Artsu at any time.

Tapiola Artist Apartments

The Tapiola Artist Apartments were the first rowhouse in Finland designed specifically for artists, marking the beginning of the Studio Foundation. The architect was Aulis Blomstedt.

Vallila Artist Studios, Kisällitalo

The factory building was constructed between 1941 and 1963. In addition to the numerous artist studios, the building also houses the Studio Foundation office.

Vallila Artist Studios, Lemuntie 6

Lemuntie 6 was the first building to be acquired as part of the Vallila Artist Studios complex. More than 50 visual artists are based there.

Vallila Artist Studios, Pälkäneentie 18

Pälkäneentie 18 is the latest part of the Vallila Artist Studios complex, which also includes Lemuntie 6 and Kisällitalo.
