Vallila Project Studio
The Studio Foundation has opened a new project studio at Vallila Artist Studios, Lemuntie 6. Located in room B46, it can be rented for fixed-term periods ranging from one week to six months. The Vallila project studio will become available on 6 August 2026.
It has a floor area of 84 m² and a ceiling height of approximately 3.15 m, as well as a water outlet and a small kitchenette. Its south-facing windows look out over the inner courtyard of Lemuntie 6, and there is a balcony on the same side of the room. However, the balcony is currently off-limits until its safety has been verified by the landlord.
A shared restroom is located in the hallway, and there is a small lift on the same floor. Read more about Lemuntie 6, which is part of the Vallila Artist Studios
Rent for the Vallila project studio:
- First week: €300/week
- Subsequent weeks: €250/week
- One or more months: €950/month
- No security deposit
Rent includes electricity, water and heating. The lease is a fixed-term contract (lease duration 1 week–6 months).
Applications for the project studio are accepted on an ongoing basis, and viewings can be arranged by appointment. Professional visual artists are given priority in the selection process. The space can also be applied for by a group of visual artists for project use. If multiple people will be using the space, one person from the group will be selected as the primary tenant. The lease agreement will be signed with the primary tenant.

Project Studio Artsu
Artsu, a project studio for short-term work, is located at the Studio Foundation’s Hämeentie 155 location in Arabianranta, Helsinki. Artsu uses a rolling application procedure.
Project Studio Artsu is a 47² m space on the seventh floor of the building. The height of the room is 2.85 m and the windows are to the east. The project studio contains a bathroom and a typically equipped kitchenette, and is equipped with two tabletops, chairs, an easel, a shelf and a sofa bed for potential overnight stays. The space has access to a fire escape located outside the building, which also serves as a balcony.
There are also eight long-term workspaces for visual artists on the same floor. There are two freight elevators in the building.
We rent Project Studio Artsu to visual artists for short-term projects or other temporary facility needs. The work period at Artsu can be from 2 weeks to 6 months.
Rent for Project Studio Artsu:
- 2 weeks: 440 euros
- 1 month: 595 euros
- For periods of other lengths, rent is agreed separately
- No security deposit

Project studios use a rolling application procedure
You can apply for the project studios at any time. However, it is good to be early, as we can only grant a work period if the booking calendar has a vacancy.
